Barbin: Greater Johnstown School District awarded $200,000 educational grant
HARRISBURG, Mar. 5 – State Rep. Bryan Barbin, D-Cambria/Somerset, announced that the Greater Johnstown School District will receive a $200,000 grant from the state Department of Education.
“This is great news for the district,” Barbin said. “The funding will allow the district to expand its technology programs.”
Barbin added that educational grants like this one are investments that provide great returns.
“Our economic future depends on the strength of our schools,” Barbin said. “Giving our students a strong foundation equips them to succeed, stay and raise families in the state and invest back in the local economy. Helping our students to succeed benefits everyone.”
