Veteran specialist to visit Bizzarro office Dec. 13
To assist veterans and their families, state Rep. Ryan Bizzarro, D-Erie, today announced he will host a veteran specialist in his Millcreek office.
Bizzarro said Shelly Messina of the Erie Veterans of Foreign Wars will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 13 at Bizzarro’s Millcreek Office, 1101 Peninsula Drive, Suite 209 to lend help to veterans and their families.
“A variety of important benefits and services are available to veterans and their families, survivors and next-of-kin from the Department of Veterans Affairs and other agencies,” Bizzarro said.
Messina will be in Bizzarro’s Millcreek office to assist veterans with understanding what benefits they have earned, filing appeals to existing claims, enrolling in the Department of Veterans Affairs health care system and any other questions regarding benefits.
In addition, Messina can help veterans with VA compensation claims, pension claims, aid and attendance claims, and death/dependency indemnity compensation claims.
Bizzarro said Messina will be available to assist veterans on the second Tuesday of each month in his Millcreek office.
No appointment is necessary.
