Lane restrictions scheduled next week on U.S. 422 and U.S. 202 in Montgomery County for bridge inspections

Please be aware that lane restrictions are scheduled next week on U.S. 422 and U.S. 202 in Montgomery County for a series of bridge inspections, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The work schedule is:

• On Monday, June 15, and Wednesday, June 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the right lane will be closed on U.S. 422 east between the Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) interchanges in West Norriton and Upper Merion townships;

• On Tuesday, June 16, and Thursday, June 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the right lane will be closed on U.S. 422 west between Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) and Route 363 (Trooper Road) in West Norriton and Upper Merion townships; and

• On Friday, June 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the right lane will be closed on U.S. 202 north between DeKalb Pike and Main Street in Bridgeport Borough.

The inspections, which are weather dependent, are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect state bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the bridges.
