Rep. Joe Brennan (D-Lehigh/Northampton) was born Jan. 12, 1964 in Lehigh County and is a 1981 graduate of Notre Dame High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Moravian College in 1986. Brennan was first elected to the Pa. House of Representatives in 2006. Prior to his elected legislative service, Brennan was chief of staff for former state Rep. T.J. Rooney, D-Lehigh/Northampton. He served as an at large member of the Northampton County Council from 1998 to 2002 and was a member of various political organizations, including the Northampton County, Lehigh County and Bethlehem democratic committees. Other community organizations Brennan had been involved with include: Minsi Trail Boy Scouts Learning for Life volunteer; former president of Community Action Committee of Lehigh Valley; former member of the Board of Directors of Bethlehem First Night; and former basketball coach for Bethlehem Catholic High School. Brennan resides in Fountain Hill with his wife Norma Jane (Cusick) Brennan, and two sons John and Patrick. |
