Lowery Brown to host SEPTA Key photo ID event June 24

HARRISBURG, June 17 – State Rep. Vanessa Lowery Brown will host an event for older residents of the 190th District to obtain their SEPTA Key photo ID cards.

SEPTA Key is the modern fare payment and collection system being unveiled by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority. It offers seniors an alternative to using their Pennsylvania driver’s license or state-issued ID card.

Brown's event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 24 at Park Towers, 4001 Conshohocken Ave., Philadelphia.

The new Key card will have a contactless chip, so riders only will need to pass it across the face of the validator to pay for their ride.

While an appointment isn’t required to attend the event, interested attendees can call Brown's office to reserve their spot. For questions, or more information about the event, call Brown's office at 215-879-6615.
