Brown to host public meeting on 'stop-and-go' issues
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 25 – State Rep. Vanessa Brown, D-Phila., will host a public meeting on the issues relating to "stop-and-go" businesses that sell alcohol and how they impact surrounding communities.
It will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 at the Christian Stronghold Baptist Church, 4701 Lancaster Ave., Philadelphia, 19131.
“This meeting will be an opportunity to bring all stakeholders together to allow concerns to be addressed,” Brown said. “The proliferation of stop-and-go stores throughout disadvantaged communities fuels the image of poor, and dangerous neighborhoods where working-class families find themselves and their future at risk. Philadelphians deserve to live in safer communities with the best quality of life possible and I am committed to protect our citizens to the best of my ability.”
This will be the fourth in a series of public meetings hosted by members of the House of Representatives' Philadelphia Delegation.
