Cephas to co-host Pathways to Pardons Expungement Expo

Event will also include businesses looking to hire

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 18 – State Rep. Morgan Cephas, D-Phila., will partner with Lt. Gov. Mike Stack for an event designed to inform constituents about the possibilities of clearing their name from minor past convictions.

The Pathways to Pardons Expungement Expo will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 at the Shepard Recreation Center, 5700 Haverford Ave., 19131.

Cephas said those in attendance can learn how the pardon process works in Pennsylvania and how they can seek a pardon for past convictions.

“Many people are missing out on opportunities because of a minor conviction and they are in need of a second chance,” Cephas said. “This expo is a great time to help those people find a way to clear their name and get them headed on the right path.”

Cephas added there will be area businesses looking to hire, so attendees seeking a job should bring copies of their resume and dress to impress.
