My annual Senior Fair will be held at the Ross Township Community Center from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29.
Seniors are encouraged to come out and get valuable information from numerous agencies about different programs and benefits for which they may qualify. The event is free, with various giveaways and chances to win door prizes. Flu and pneumonia shots will be available with your Medicare Part B or insurance cards. Some of the agencies attending are the Pennsylvania Mobile Veteran Service Van, the PA Office of Consumer Advocate, Social Security, the Aging Institute of UPMC, Port Authority, Better Business Bureau, different utility companies, health care agencies, home and assisted-care agencies, and many, many more.
