Donatucci, Davis to host House Democratic Policy Committee hearing on Safe Campuses legislation Friday in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, April 4 – As part of House Democrats’ Plan4PA, state Rep. Maria Donatucci, D-Phila./Delaware, and state Rep. Tina Davis, D-Bucks, will host a House Democratic Policy Committee hearing to discuss their House Bill 962 that would create the Safe Campuses Act.

The public hearing will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 6 at Temple University, Shusterman Hall, 1834 Liacouras Walk, Philadelphia.

Donatucci and Davis requested the meeting to collect input on their bill, which would require all post-secondary schools, colleges and universities in the state to adopt policies and establish programs to make students, staff and officials aware of the risks of sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Members of the Policy Committee from all over the state, including Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, will be in attendance.

  • Penelope Ettinger, executive director, Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA)

            11:20 a.m.      Closing Remarks
