Davis announces $497 thousand to improve traffic safety in Bristol Township
HARRISBURG, July 12 – State Rep. Tina Davis, D-Bucks, today announced $497,621 awarded to improve traffic safety at multiple intersections in Bristol Township.
According to Davis, the state’s Green Light-Go program will provide the funds to modernize two traffic signals at the intersections of:
New Falls, Woodbourne, Edgely and Emilie Roads
Edgely and Mill Creek Roads
“Safety is a top priority and this funding is critical in protecting both drivers and pedestrians in my community,” Davis said. “I will keep advocating to bring modern technology to Bucks County with the ability of making upgrades that can potentially prevent tragedy and save lives.”
Green Light-Go funding may be used for a range of improvements including, but not limited to: light-emitting diode (LED) technology installation, traffic signal retiming, developing special event plans and monitoring traffic signals, as well as upgrading traffic signals to the latest technologies.
