In recent years, we've seen an alarming number of toy recalls - some because of their components, like too much lead, and some because the products were found to be unsafe - and in some cases, could lead to fatalities.
I have great concern about these unsafe toys and baby items getting into the hands and lives of innocent consumers. That's why I authored a bill to ban recalled toys from all store shelves in Pennsylvania. The bill passed the state House unanimously last session, but the Senate failed to take action.
