State Rep. Maria Donatucci is sworn in Tuesday as state representative for the 185th Legislative District. On Feb. 1 she won election by a landslide to fill the seat that her late husband Robert had held before his sudden death last November .
The oath was administered by Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Matthew Carrafiello, and the Donatucci children, Thomas, 25, and Dierdre, 22, held the Bible for her.

State Rep. Maria Donatucci on Tuesday, Feb. 15 took the oath of office to represent the 185th Legislative District in Philadelphia after winning a special election on Feb. 1 to fill the seat of her late husband, Robert. Their children, Thomas, 25, and Dierdre, 22, held the bible for their mother as other family members looked on. Donatucci becomes the 33rd female currently serving in the General Assembly.
