Fitzgerald to host House Democratic Policy Committee hearing on breast density screening insurance coverage Wednesday in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA, May 24 – As part of the House Democratic Caucus’ Plan4PA, state Rep. Isabella Fitzgerald, D-Phila., will host a House Democratic Policy Committee public hearing on her House Bill 579, which would mandate insurance coverage for breast density screening.
The hearing will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30 at the Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, Sheerr Building Auditorium, 1101 West Tabor Road, Philadelphia, PA 19141.
Fitzgerald requested the hearing to highlight the significance these screenings play in women’s health and that insurance coverage of the screenings should be mandated. Fitzgerald will be joined by state legislators from across the state, including Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster.
