Rep. John T. Galloway (D-140, Bucks) was born in 1960 and grew up in Levittown as one of 10 children. He graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1977 and attended the Project Management Institute where he graduated in 2001. He was first elected to serve in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2006, and is the first Levittown native to serve in the Pennsylvania General Assembly in the history of the Commonwealth.
Galloway is deeply rooted within his community, and has been a longtime Democratic activist and public servant. He is a former Pennsbury School Board member and local Democratic committee member. Galloway is proudly involved in the Ancient Order of Hibernians and a founding member and past president of the Bucks County St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. He and his wife Angela, along with their daughter Kelley, are active members of St. Joseph the Worker Church, where he coached Catholic Youth Organization basketball for 10 years.
In the private sector, Galloway has successfully directed multi-million dollar projects in dozens of countries across five continents, many for some of the largest companies in the world, including General Electric, MetLife, Johnson & Johnson, and Amersham Health. He also was employed by Merrill Lynch.
