On Jan. 21, members of the state championship boys’ soccer team from Holy Ghost Preparatory School traveled to Harrisburg where they were honored by the full House for their athletic accomplishments. In October, the Firebirds captured their second consecutive state title in Class AA by defeating Lancaster Mennonite School, 3-1. They are coached by Ken Lawson and Dave Simpson. Members of the Villa Joseph Marie High School girls’ soccer team – who won the 2014 PIAA Class AA championship -- were recognized by the House for their stellar season and state victory during a trip to the Capitol on Jan. 21.
