Hill-Evans to host free shredding event
YORK, April 8 – State Rep. Carol Hill-Evans will host a free shredding event April 20.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20 at a new location -- the parking lot in front of Hill-Evans’ district office at 53 E. North St., Suite 3, York 17401.
“Shredding documents that contain personal information is a great way to protect yourself from identity theft,” said Hill-Evans, D-York. “And the shredded paper is recycled, so it’s a win for the environment as well.”
Documents suggested for shredding include any papers containing Social Security numbers, credit card or bank account information, insurance or income tax records, bank statements, and canceled or unused checks. The shredding will be done on-site.
Anyone with questions can call Hill-Evans’ office at 717-848-9595.
