• Helps people who, through no fault of their own, are in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure. If you've received a letter and Act 91 notice, you will need to contact a HEMAP counseling office.

• Available to homeowners who are looking to refinance at more affordable terms.

File a Consumer Complaint with the Attorney General's Office

If your bank or mortgage company is uncooperative with you after you receive a foreclosure notice, you can file a Consumer Complaint.

If you have received a letter from the Attorney General acknowledging receipt of your information and have a file number, that number should be included in your correspondence.
