Kim to hold Correctional Town Hall on May 1
HARRISBURG, April 23 – State Rep. Patty Kim, D-Dauphin, will host a Correctional Town Hall on Pennsylvania’s state prisons at 6 p.m., May 1 at the Camp Curtain YMCA on 2135 N. Sixth St., 17110.
The town hall will provide a forum for constituents to get answers concerning vending machines, virtual video visits, grievances, inmate abuse, PA state prison and parole, Dauphin County prison and probation, who can get (inmate) medical information, and new initiatives.
“It’s so hard for people who have loved ones in prison,” Kim said. “I wanted to hold this town hall so members of the community could be more informed about the state prison system and how they could be better advocates for their loved ones.”
There will be employers present for interested job seekers, as well as representatives from state agencies to provide information on state programs and services. Kim and her staff also will be there to answer constituent questions.
