Kosierowski to hold Policy hearing on clean renewable energy Wednesday in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, July 12 – State. Rep. Bridget M. Kosierowski, D-Lackawanna, will hold a House Democratic Policy Committee public hearing on clean renewable energy.

The hearing will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 at the Carbondale Area JR/SR High School, Auditorium, 101 Brooklyn St., Carbondale. The public is invited to attend.

Kosierowski requested the hearing to discuss what more the state can do to support clean renewable energy while protecting the environment. She will be joined by state legislators from across the state, including Policy Committee Chiarman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster. 

Testifiers will include Dave Althoff, Director of the Energy Programs Office, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and Rob Altenburg, Director, PennFuture Energy Center.

The hearing is one in a series being held across the state on House Democrats’ Plan4PA, focused on putting people first by growing good jobs, providing health care access, creating quality schools and providing training for jobs in a fair economy.
