Krueger sworn in for another term as state representative

HARRISBURG, Jan. 1 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger was sworn in for another term as state representative for the 161st Legislative District during a Capitol ceremony today.

Krueger, first elected during a special election in August 2015, promised to continue advocating for matters of concern to her constituents.

“I’m honored that residents of the 161st district have put their trust in me for another term, and I’m excited to have the chance to continue fighting for their interests,” said Krueger, D-Delaware. “We’ve made some progress in recent years, but there’s still so much to be done. I’ll continue to fight to make sure we are putting the needs of Pennsylvanians first in Harrisburg.”

In her next term, Krueger said she will fight for the rights of workers, protect access to health care, and stand up for survivors of sexual harassment and abuse.

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives swearing-in ceremony corresponds with the first Tuesday in January every two years. This year marks Pennsylvania’s 203rd legislative session.
