Another step closer to property tax relief Pennsylvania is the proud home to yet another job-creating slot gaming facility that is already generating money to add to the fund that will cut property taxes for homeowners and wage taxes in the southeast in the near future. Even with fewer than half of the proposed facilities up and running, revenue has been so strong that state officials are optimistic your next property tax bill could be cut courtesy of the slot gaming industry. Fighting for YOUR good health
"A wise man should consider that health is the greatest of human blessings" n Hippocrates
Without your health, you're not left with much. That's why House Majority Democrats have been working with Governor Rendell to examine his proposed health insurance plan, and the House Majority Policy Committee is midway through a series of hearings around the state to examine our health-care system as a whole - preventative care to family doctors to preventing hospital infections to funding long-term care.
The goal is simple: making sure that when you and your loved ones get sick you can afford to see a doctor and get the quality care you need and deserve. Click here to find out more about what House Majority Democrats are doing to help you stay healthy.

Josh Shapiro's take on the week's action.
