Democrats take health-care hearings

to the people

The Majority House Democrats heard the call of the people for improved access to quality, affordable health care for everyone. To that end, we are holding several public hearings across the Commonwealth on Gov. Ed Rendell's "Prescription for Pennsylvania" that would overhaul the state's health-care system. The goals of the program would be to lower the cost of health care, improve the quality of health care and finally to expand health-care coverage.

Click here for more information about Insurance Committee Chairman Tony DeLuca's plans to garner input next week on the health-care plan. Chairman Todd Eachus is taking the House Democratic Policy Committee across the state to get even more viewpoints on what the public thinks about revamping our state's health-care system. Click here to view that schedule and other planned hearings by the Policy Committee.
