Daley reminds constituents to register for health care by Tuesday

CONSHOHOCKEN, Jan. 27 – Citing the importance of having health insurance, state Rep. Mary Jo Daley, D-Montgomery, is reminding constituents today that they only have until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31 to register for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act.

“The ACA’s uncertain future is no reason not to register for health insurance,” Daley said. “It’s vital to ensure that you and your family are covered, and you could also face a penalty if you refuse insurance.”

Constituents can apply through the Health Insurance Marketplace online by visiting www.healthcare.gov or by calling 1-800-318-2596.

“The ACA has helped over 1.1 million Pennsylvanians receive the care they need in an affordable way,” Daley said. “I strongly urge everyone to ensure they have coverage and to also let them know that now is the perfect time to contact your senator and congressman to let them know that over 1 million Pennsylvanians rely on the ACA and now is not the time to repeal the program and rip coverage away from so many who desperately need it.”
