Rep. Madden to hold 2nd Celebrate Recovery Saturday

State Rep. Maureen Madden, D-Monroe, will hold her Celebrate Recovery event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Mountain Center, 354 Memorial Blvd.

Madden said recovery from addiction is a complex issue.

“The road to recovery can be bumpy at times and victims may encounter obstacles, but it’s the only way people can move ahead in life and overcome destruction in their lives,” Madden said.

Keynote speaker will be Jason Snyder, regional director of operations for Pinnacle Health and former special assistant to the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services for Gov. Tom Wolf.

There will be guest speakers, food, games, providers, resources, raffles and many more activities.

“I want to celebrate with people who have recovered and positively turned their lives around,” Madden said.
