Distracted driving in Pennsylvania

A Virginia Tech Transportation Institute study found that drivers face a 23 times greater risk of a crash or near crash when texting. You can read a summary of the study here. Similarly, a University of Utah study found that college students faced an eight times greater crash risk when texting. Fourteen states have already banned texting while driving. My bill, House Bill 2070, addresses the issue in Pennsylvania.
