RSVP: State Rep. Steve McCarter’s 5th Annual Senior Fair
My fifth annual Senior Fair will be held this year from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 31 at Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel, 8339 Old York Rd., Elkins Park, PA 19027. Nearly 100 exhibitors—including representatives from federal, state, county and local agencies such as Transnet, Aging and Adult Services and Veterans Affairs offices of Montgomery County, as well as non-government exhibitors—will be there to offer information on health care, volunteer opportunities, prescription-drug plans, identity theft and so much more.
In addition, SEPTA will be taking photos for their new SEPTA Senior Key Photo ID cards (which allow Pennsylvanians age 65 and older to ride free on SEPTA buses, trolleys and subways, and to travel on regional rail lines in Pennsylvania for $1) and the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds office will be taking photos and supplying veterans with Veterans’ Photo ID Discount Cards (which enable honorably discharged vets who reside in Montgomery County to receive discounts at nearly 500 county-wide establishments).
Check out the brief video of last year’s Senior Fair, below, to get an idea of what you can expect.
