McClinton, Harris to host Fall Festival Oct. 31

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 23 – In an effort to provide young people with a safe environment to celebrate Halloween, state Reps. Joanna McClinton and Jordan Harris, both D-Phila., will partner with the 12th District Police Station to host a Fall Festival for local families.

The event will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31 at The Common Place, 5736 Chester Ave. There will be children’s games, food, a trick or treat candy giveaway, and more free family fun. Health and wellness vendors will also be on site to provide information on the importance of exercise and healthy eating.

“Halloween is a very special holiday for children, and we want to make sure they are able to celebrate it with their families and neighbors in a safe environment,” McClinton said. “While we wanted to make this event fun for the local youth, we also wanted to provide something for everyone so it could be just as fun as it is informative for all families.”

McClinton said this event is a great opportunity for children in her district to have a fun and safe space to go for Halloween. The event will offer treats and refreshments, activities for families as well as information on health and state-related programs.

For more information, constituents can call McClinton’s office at (215) 748-6712.
