Rep. Camille “Bud” George, D-74 of Clearfield County, reacts with surprise when presented his high school diploma during the June 11, 2012, commencement at Moshannon Valley High School. Rep. George, who gave the commencement address, left high school early to join the U.S. Navy during World War II and received his equivalency degree from the military. Rep. George, who also has received an honorary doctoral degree from Lock Haven University, is the last WWII-era veteran in the Pennsylvania Legislature.
