As a follow-up to the successful town meetings I and my Bucks County
colleagues, Reps. Chris King and John Galloway, held last fall, I would
like to continue the open discussion on what you believe are possible
solutions to property tax reform.
Please let me know your answers to the
following questions either by completing the survey below.
Please check which option(s)
for property tax reform you or your family prefer.
Allow school
districts and municipalities to impose or increase the earned income
tax and personal income tax - subject to a voter referendum.
Reduce the property tax by increasing
the sales tax.
Increase the sales tax and add items not currently subject to the sales
tax, such as services, food and clothing.
Eliminate the property tax by
increasing the sales tax and increasing the personal income tax.
Expand gaming to include table games.
Other:
Please select yes or no.
Would you be in favor of taxing life
necessities that are currently exempt from the sales tax in Pennsylvania
(such as food and clothing) if they were taxed at a lower rate than
currently taxed items?
Yes
No
