Merski to host ‘Second Chance Expo’ March 14

Will focus on helping those with nonviolent misdemeanors reenter workforce

ERIE, March 12 – State Rep. Bob Merski, D-Erie, will host a “Second Chance Expo” Thursday to help residents with nonviolent misdemeanor records reenter the workforce.

In addition to a job fair, the event will feature state Rep. Jordan Harris, D-Phila., who co-authored the state’s clean slate law. Harris will speak about the new law and explain how it can open doors for job seekers with low-level, nonviolent criminal records.
