O’Mara officially commemorates Delco Day in state Capitol

HARRISBURG, May 29 – State lawmakers recently adopted state Rep. Jennifer O’Mara’s House resolution (H.R. 341) proclaiming June 10, 2019, as Delco Day in Pennsylvania.

June 10 is abbreviated 6/10, named after the main area code of Delaware County. A video of O’Mara honoring DelCo Day during House session can be viewed or shared from here.

“Whether you’re talking about the great people and life-long relationships made here, we should all be proud to call Delco home,” she said. “I applaud my colleagues in Harrisburg for supporting June 10th as Delco Day across the commonwealth – a time our communities come together to celebrate a great cause.”

Delco Day supports the HEADstrong Foundation, which works to provide housing for cancer patients. This year’s celebration will take place on June 1, and will feature more than a dozen local bands, celebrities, companies, and organizations working together to celebrate life.
