Free H1N1 flu vaccination clinic coming to Mercer County
HARRISBURG, Nov. 16 – State Rep. Mark Longietti, D-Mercer, announced that the state will hold free H1N1 flu vaccination clinics Nov. 20-22 at the Mercer County State Health Center, 25 McQuiston Drive, Jackson Center.
"This is an opportunity for Mercer County residents who are most at risk to contract H1N1 to get a vaccination," said Longietti, D-Mercer. "I'm pleased the state Department of Health is reaching out to help some of the most vulnerable people through this clinic."
The clinic will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 and Sunday, Nov. 22. Hours on Saturday, Nov. 21 will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Health Department asks only people in the following high-risk groups attend the clinic:
People who want to attend the clinic must schedule an appointment to receive the H1N1 vaccine. Appointments can be made 24 hours a day at www.h1n1inpa.com under "What’s Hot" or by calling 1-877-PA HEALTH (1-877-724-3258) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Consent forms must be completed for each person who is scheduled to be vaccinated. They are available at www.h1n1inpa.com.
