Sainato to honor Korean War Veterans June 5
NEW CASTLE, May 15 – State Rep. Chris Sainato, D-Lawrence/Beaver, is hosting an event next month honoring Korean War veterans in the 9th Legislative District.
Sainato said the ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 5 at the American Legion Post 343, 134 Jefferson St.
"I am asking all Korean War veterans in my district who have not signed up for the ceremony, to please do so soon," Sainato said.
Sainato said each veteran will be presented with a medal and citation in recognition of his or her service and sacrifice in the Korean War.
In order to participate in the ceremony, the veteran must be registered. Veterans should call or e-mail Sainato at his constituent service office, 724-656-1112 or csainato@pahouse.net, and provide their name, address and military branch.
