Gibbons: ShenangoTownship water project to receive funding
HARRISBURG, April 2 – State Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D-Lawrence/Beaver/Butler, today announced a funding agreement with the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority for a drinking water project for Aqua Pennsylvania Inc. in Shenango Township in Lawrence County.
Gibbons said the project will replace more than two miles of water distribution lines and 28 booster pumps to eliminate water outages and provide a safe, reliable water source to local households and businesses.
Pennvest will provide financial assistance for the project from its federally funded Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan program in the form of a $698,000 low-interest loan over 20 years.
