Gibbons announces Children's Fair set for May 17 

 

ELLWOOD CITY, May 2 – State Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D-Lawrence/Beaver/Butler, today announced he will host his second annual Children's Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17.

 

The free event will be held at Lincoln High School Gymnasium, 501 Crescent Ave., Ellwood City.

 

"This event is a fun, educational day for our local families," Gibbons said. "It's an opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn important basics about issues vital to parenting."

 

Gibbons said dozens of local and state agencies will be on hand to discuss nutrition, safety, fitness and more.

Participating organizations include: Ellwood City Area Public Library; The Awesome Spirit of Wildlife; the Women, Infants and Children nutrition program; Lawrence County Drug and Alcohol Commission; Beaver County Early Care and Education Council; Ellwood City Fire Department; Lawrence County Department of Public Safety; Lifesteps; Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania; the Pennsylvania Now U 529 Guaranteed Savings Plan; Ellwood City Police Department and Jozek the Drug Dog; the Pennsylvania Department of Health; Camp Cadet; American Red Cross; Pittsburgh Wellness Co.; Gold Medal Gymnastic; Dance & Cheer; Project Star; Family Choices; and other local groups.
