Gibbons announces Korean War veterans event June 5

 

HARRISBURG, May 20 – State Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D-Lawrence/Beaver/Butler, today announced that he will hold a Korean War veterans event at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 5 to honor Lawrence County Korean War veterans.

 

The event will be held at the New Castle American Legion, New Castle, Pa.

 

Gibbons said veterans will be acknowledged and awarded a citation and a medal for their service.

 

Lawrence County Korean War veterans, or residents who know one, should contact Megan Rummel at 724-794-1215 to register for the event. The veteran's name, address, branch, rank and years of service should be provided.   

 

Gibbons said he is planning future events for Beaver and Butler County Korean War veterans.
