Gibbons hosting free senior workshop in Shenango Township
HARRISBURG, Nov. 3 – State Rep. Jaret Gibbons is inviting seniors and their families to an Older and Wiser workshop to learn about Medicaid’s coverage of long-term care.
The free event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Shenango Township Volunteer Fire Department located at 2424 E. Washington St. in Shenango Township.
“This will be a great resource for seniors and their loved ones to learn what Medicaid covers if they ever need to consider nursing home care,” Gibbons said. “Local experts from Neighborhood Legal Services will explain Medicaid’s rules for long-term care coverage and how to avoid penalties for transferring your assets.”
Gibbons has hosted a series of Older and Wiser workshops in recent years to provide information about legal issues and state programs affecting many seniors and their families.
