Beaver County receiving $9.3 million in property tax relief
MONACA, May 2 – State Rep. Vince Biancucci, D-Beaver, announced today that the state will deliver nearly $9.3 million in property tax relief to Beaver County homeowners.
Slots gaming has produced enough revenue in the state's Property Tax Relief Fund to deliver nearly $613 million for school property tax relief to more than 3 million Pennsylvania homeowners this summer. Earlier this year, the state budget secretary certified that the minimum of $400 million in the fund had been reached to allow for the distribution of property tax relief money.
"I'm very pleased that homeowners in my part of the county are receiving a property tax cut of $175 on average," Biancucci said.
Beaver County homeowners will receive a share of nearly $9.3 million in relief. Property tax cuts for homeowners in area school districts are estimated as follows:
