Small Business Development Center holds hours at Deasy's office

 

HARRISBURG, Jan. 13 -- A representative from the University of Pittsburgh's Small Business Development Center will be available through the end of 2010 to meet with small business owners and prospective owners in the offices of state Rep. Dan Deasy, D-Allegheny.

 

These free, one-on-one informational sessions will be held in Deasy's offices throughout the 27th Legislative District.

 

The SBDC representative will be available:

 

·         9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Deasy's West End office, located at 436 S. Main St., Suite 200 in Pittsburgh's West End, on Jan. 25; March 15; May 24; July 12; Sept. 20 and Nov. 15. The phone number is 412-928-9514.

 

·         10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Deasy's Dormont satellite office, located at 1444 Hillsdale Ave. in Pittsburgh, on Feb. 15; April 12; June 14; Aug. 16; Oct. 11; and Dec. 13. The phone number is 412-561-8900.

"Today's economy has small businesses struggling, and I am committed to helping them in any way that I can," Deasy said. "The SBDC provides information and offers advice, and I encourage area residents who own or are thinking of starting a small business to come in and talk to the SBDC representative."
