Deasy to host Steinway Piano Gallery opening
HARRISBURG, March 13 – State Rep. Dan Deasy, D-Allegheny, along with Pittsburgh City Councilwoman Theresa Kail-Smith, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and invite-only reception to celebrate the opening of the Steinway Piano Gallery Pittsburgh.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 15 at 445 S. Main St., Pittsburgh.
“I am honored to be a part of welcoming Steinway Pittsburgh to the West End Village,” Deasy said. “This is a tremendous business that has recognized the uniqueness our community has to offer.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Steinway Piano Gallery to the West End; their decision to open here is further proof that the west side of Pittsburgh is an enticing place to live, work, invest and enjoy," Kail-Smith said.
Steinway Piano Gallery Pittsburgh is the newest member of the Steinway & Sons family. There are fewer than 70 piano representatives in the Americas to have earned this prestigious appointment. Their newest location in the West End is the only Steinway dealer location from Charleston to Erie.
The West End Village competed against 17 other neighborhoods in the city to become Steinway’s choice for a new gallery location. Patricia Neeper, newly appointed president of Steinway Pittsburgh, has more than 26 years of experience representing the Family of Steinway Designed Pianos.
“The West End design community, art galleries, Pittsburgh Musical Theater and features including ease of access and adequate parking helped the West End quickly rise to the top of our list as the prime location,” Neeper said. “The fact that there is and will be minimal disruption of business due to sporting events and conventions helped solidify the proceedings and move to 445 South Main Street.”
Deasy’s support was integral in the West End community being selected as Steinway & Sons’ newest location.
