Deasy announces state grant for McKees Rocks projects
HARRISBURG, April 14 – State Rep. Dan Deasy, D-Allegheny, announced today that McKees Rocks borough was awarded a Business in Our Sites Grant through the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
The borough wants to use the $150,221 grant to assist with the planning activities for redevelopment of the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad site, specifically for a geotechnical environmental assessment, land planning and design, traffic impact study and roadway and field analysis.
The 30 acre brownfield site is located along Routes 65 and 51 and is approximately 5 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.
Trinity Commercial Development is the developer. The total project cost is $166,912.
