Urban Affairs Committee, state representatives to host cultural impact tour

and informational meeting in York

 

HARRISBURG, Aug. 1 – House Urban Affairs Committee chairman Rep. Tom Petrone, D-Allegheny, and state Rep. Eugene DePasquale, D-York, announced that they will host a cultural impact tour and informational meeting in York on Thursday, Aug. 7 and Friday, Aug. 8.

 

The tour will begin at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Yorktowne Hotel lobby, located at 48 E. Market St. in York.

 

The informational meeting with the Cultural Alliance of York County will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the York County Community Foundation in the Cultural Alliance of York Conference Room, 14 W. Market St. in York.

 

The tour and meeting will serve as a follow up to the recent Urban Affairs Committee hearing on the economic impact of the arts on cities. Mayor John Brenner, the Cultural Alliance of York and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts will offer testimony before the committee at Friday's meeting.
