Dolington Road Bridge reopens
NEWTOWN, July 15 – State Rep. Steven J. Santarsiero, D-Bucks, today announced that Dolington Road in Lower Makefield Township is reopened to traffic following bridge repairs by PennDOT.
Santarsiero said the $250,000 bridge deck resurfacing and substructure repair project began on June 1 and was completed on schedule. It is part of an existing $4.3 million overall project for repairs and upgrades on Interstate 95 in Bucks County.
"The safety of Bucks County drivers and the thousands of commuters who pass through here each day is priority number one," Santarsiero said. "Improvements and upgrades, like these made on the Dolington Road Bridge, will keep our roads and bridges up to date and in the safest possible condition for those who rely on them."
According to PennDOT, the Dolington Road Bridge over Interstate 95 was built in 1967 and currently carries 5,159 vehicles a day.
