DeLuca to hold House Insurance Committee hearings across state in April

 

HARRISBURG, April 11 – State Rep. Tony DeLuca, D-Allegheny, chairman of the House Insurance Committee, has announced a series of committee hearings across Pennsylvania on health-care reform legislation that affects the people of Pennsylvania.

 

A hearing on establishing an Office of Consumer Advocate for Insurance will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, April 14 at the Schuylkill Center, 1000 Schuylkill Manor Road in Pottsville.

 

The hearing is being held in the legislative district of state Rep. Tim Seip, D-Schuylkill/Berks.

 

DeLuca said it is important that residents in Seip's district attend the health-care reform hearing.

 

"The members of the House Insurance Committee want to hear from residents of Pennsylvania on health insurance issues." DeLuca said. "Improving the quality of health care for all people is one of my top priorities as chairman of the committee."
