Dermody: vendors needed for August Senior Expo

CHESWICK, May 15 – State Rep. Frank Dermody, D-Oakmont, is looking for vendors for his third Senior Expo.

The Senior Expo is for senior citizens in the 33^rd Legislative District. Plans are underway for the event that will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 at Syria Mosque, 1877 Shriners Way.

Vendors from across the area representing local and state government and local businesses are invited to participate and to contribute a door prize for the event.

"We have had great success with dispensing information on state and local issues and services important to senior citizens with my previous two Senior Expos," Dermody said. "The region has many businesses and nonprofit entities that provide valuable services to the older population; this expo is an opportunity for seniors to learn about their options in one place."

Dermody is asking vendors who are interested in participating to contact Julie in his constituent service office at 412-565-7507.

Dermody’s legislative district includes East Deer, Fawn, Frazer, Harmar, Harrison, Indiana, Springdale and West Deer townships, along with Brackenridge, Cheswick, Oakmont, Plum, Springdale and Tarentum.
