Kortz named to House Urban Affairs Committee

HARRISBURG, Feb. 8 – State Rep. Bill Kortz, D-Allegheny, was chosen by House leadership to serve on the House Urban Affairs Committee for the remainder of the 2011-12 legislative session.

"I look forward to being able to work more closely on the issues that face our urban areas," Kortz said.

The Urban Affairs Committee oversees community affairs issues under the Department of Community and Economic Development.

Kortz also is a member of the House Transportation, Environmental Resources and Energy, Professional Licensure and Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness committees.
