Smith hosting second Senior Fair Oct. 10

MT. LEBANON, Sept. 23 – State Rep. Matt Smith, D-Allegheny, is inviting seniors residing in the 42^nd Legislative District to attend his 2008 Senior Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10 at Galleria of Mt. Lebanon, 1500 Washington Road.

"After a terrific turnout last year at my first Senior Fair, I'm looking forward to what I hope will be another great day for seniors living in the 42^nd Legislative District," Smith said. "We will be offering a wide range of assistance involving state and local programs, and everything will be in one place as a one-stop shop for convenience."

The fair will include free information on a variety of state and local issues from exhibitors, applications for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program and PACE and PACENET, free flu shots, door prizes and light refreshments. St. Clair Hospital will be providing several free medical screenings as well.

Smith noted that anyone on Medicare who wishes to receive a free flu shot must bring his or her Medicare card.
