White, Solobay to host Health and Safety Fair
WASHINGTON, Pa., March 11 – State Reps. Jesse White and Tim Solobay will co-host their annual Community Health and Safety Fair Thursday, March 18 with the American Red Cross and Washington Hospital.
The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Washington Crown Center, 1500 W. Chestnut St.
Representatives from more than 100 local, county and state organizations will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on various issues related to the health and safety of the community.
"We always have a wonderful turnout for this event and it is truly a pleasure to work with local organizations to connect residents with free state programs and services," White said.
"The heavy snowfalls of February coupled with the warm temperatures of March means we could see some flooding this spring, so it is very important people know just what to do should flooding occur," Solobay said. "At the Community Health and Safety Fair we’ll have such information, including free copies of the ‘Are You Ready’ booklets to help you prepare for any weather emergency."
Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program applications, PACE/PACENET applications and assistance with state Transportation Department processing also will be available.
