White to host funding workshop for Cecil sewage project
CECIL, March 12 – State Rep. Jesse White, D-Washington/Allegheny/Beaver, will host a sewage funding workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at the Cecil Township Building for those affected by the Millers Run sewage project.
The township building is located at 3599 Millers Run Road.
White said the sewage funding workshop will provide information on federal grant and loan opportunities for nearly all groups of people affected by the sewage project.
Those interested will be able to sit down with representatives from National City Bank and Community Bank to apply for low-interest loans, as well as receive assistance in applying for USDA Rural Development Grants that could help offset some sewage project costs.
"As a resident of Cecil Township on Millers Run Road, I’m directly affected by the project and share concerns related to the tap-in fees and other costs township residents will be required to pay," White said. "That's why I have teamed up with the USDA and National City and Community Bank to present information about programs that may be available to help residents meet those costs."
White said residents should feel free to stop by any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 29 to receive help from these organizations with eligibility and applications. More information on the workshop is available by calling White’s Cecil office at 724-746-3677.
