Solobay plans event honoring local Korean War veterans
WASHINGTON, Pa. July 2 – State Rep. Tim Solobay, D-Washington, is planning a special ceremony in August to honor Korean War veterans from the 48th Legislative District:
Korean War Veterans Ceremony
10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 6
American Legion Post 175
168 Park Ave., Washington.
At the ceremony, Korean War veterans, or family members of deceased veterans, will receive a special medal and certificate. Light refreshments will be served.
Solobay is asking local Korean War veterans, or families of deceased veterans, to register for the event by July 25 so that they may receive a personalized certificate.
